United Ways are present in almost half of Iowa’s 99 counties.

There are currently 33 United Ways in Iowa. United Way of East Central Iowa serves Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Jones, Linn and Washington counties. We focus on impacting health, education and financial stability issues. In 2012, we raised $10,354,496 and partnered with around 40 community partners to assure our communities most critical needs are being addressed. Your investment supports our communities’ most critical needs from programs that give children ready for kindergarten to helping seniors remain independent longer.

VOLUNTEER

If you’re interested in volunteering, go to our volunteering site to find a wide range of volunteer opportunities – everything from mentoring a child, to swinging a hammer, or befriending an isolated older adult. We also have Business and Group Volunteer opportunities available.
