Letter to the Community
President & CEO, United Way of East Central Iowa
Times are tough. Many people who have been self-reliant, now need help. Many are without jobs or struggling to keep their homes. Many are without health insurance or can’t afford daycare for their children. Many are still recovering from the flood and trying to put their lives back together. Right now, the need for help is greater than it has ever been and the need for change is critical.
Through the work of almost 40 community partners and through the gifts of generous donors and volunteers, United Way is creating opportunities for a better life for people right here in our communities. By focusing on positive, lasting change in education, income and health, we improve the lives of those most in need in east central Iowa.
We invite you to be a part of that change; volunteering your time, speaking up for a cause you believe in; making a donation. No gift is too small. Now is the time for all of us to do our part. We face difficult challenges, but we can make a difference. Please give, because together we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow.
On behalf of United Way and the thousands of individuals and families who are served in our community, thank you for your continued support!
