Each year during United Way’s Volunteer Recognition event, an outstanding company in the community is recognized with the Business of the Year Award. 2010 Pacesetter Company / Challenge Grant
Van Meter Industrial provided a $50,000 Matching Grant to this year’s campaign. This helped United Way collect over $50,000 in new and increased donations.
Step Up Challenge
Sweepstakes which awarded $15,000 in donated prizes throughout the campaign. Grand prizes included a $2,500 Debit Card furnished by Banker’s Trust, a $2,500 Gas Card from Hawkeye Convenience Stores, $2,500 in home furnishings from Smulekoff’s, and a $2,500 home entertainment package donated by Van Meter Industrial.
