Lois Buntz: United Way would like to thank the Corridor Business Journal for this award and their subscribers who have voted for us.  We really appreciate that recognition and thank them for doing this every year.

We are very honored and pleased to have been selected as the best charity in the corridor.  We feel it’s a great reflection of the trust people in the community have in United Way that they believe we are doing a good job as stewards of their dollars when they give to our annual campaign every year and that they appreciate the way that we are very conscientious about making decisions about how those dollars are allocated to non-profits.

We feel very excited and very pleased about this. It’s a great honor.  When people think about a charity and they think about a non-profit in the community that they respect and want to be involved in, that United Way comes to mind.  So we really appreciate that because we feel we are in a unique position to bring many non-profits together and community partners to talk about needs and obviously the more people who are connected with us the more good work we can do in the community.
