Mentoring for Positive Youth Development

This program serves youth (ages 6-18) having a number of factors which put them at risk for future problems; such as those who have incarcerated parents, single parent families, those who live in at-risk neighborhoods, and families who earn less than a self-sufficient wage.

Financial Stability/Self-sufficiency

To help low-income individuals in Cedar Rapids’ five core neighborhoods overcome barriers. Resource Centers connect people in the community to services essential to achieving self-sufficiency, including life skills, financial literacy and others. Perhaps the most visible is the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA).
