The Parent Partner program uses a nationally-developed and proven parent-to-parent mentoring model, specifically designed for families involved in the child welfare system. Parent Partner mentors are birth parents who have navigated the child welfare system and the courts and been reunified with their children for at least 18 months with no subsequent abuse reports. They receive additional training then help parents who have recently had children removed from their care by providing them with support, information and advocacy.
