Geonetric Provided New Websites to Four Non-Profits in 2012

In 2012, Geonetric,  a Cedar Rapids-based website developer and interactive marketing consulting firm, chose  four non-profits  to receive new and  free websites.

Selected were the Catherine McAuley Center, Transportation Advisory Group, Mission of Hope, and Gems of Hope, Inc.

“We are thrilled to be selected for the Geonetric project and we can’t wait to see how our new website turns out,” says Nicki Ross, development and communications manager at the Catherine McAuley Center.

The project was created with the expectation there would only be one winner, but as the team quickly found out, it was hard to choose.

“We had a great response from the Cedar Rapids non-profit community,” says Eric Engelmann, president and CEO of Geonetric. “And we were very impressed with the efforts put into the applications. We put the nominations to a vote and these four non-profits had the most support. Our Geonetric team is so enthusiastic about Operation Overnight, and we have so many team members participating, that we decided we had the capacity to help all four.”

Operation Overnight will begin on November 8, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. and will last 24 straight hours. During this exciting event, Geonetric developers, designers and marketing strategists will work together to deliver new websites and supporting materials for the four non-profits selected free of charge.
The four non-profit organizations were selected from a pool of applications. Qualified non-profits had to be a 501(c) organization based in Cedar Rapids, IA. Applicants were asked to outline how receiving a new website and marketing materials would help them accomplish their organization’s mission to improve the Cedar Rapids, IA community.
