How Willis Dady Shelter, a United Way partner, helped a homeless mom
Tara Falls tells us about how United Way dollars and the Willis Dady Shelter have helped her.
Transcript of the video:
Tara Falls:
“I was homeless for many years. I moved from house to house and homeless. Living from place to place until that every option had ran out, but God blessed us with a nice warm apartment.”
Tim Wilson, Executive Director, Willis Dady Emergency Shelter:
“Our clients are single men, age 18 and older, and families. We have beds for 16 men and we have four family units. We are full just about all the time.”
Tara Falls:
“Well, I would say I would still be outdoors probably on cardboard boxes or sleeping in the hills trying to stay warm. Police stations close, restaurants until they say it is time to go. United Way donations make a wonderful difference in our lives and other people’s too.”
