Mission
The Women’s Leadership Initiative unites the caring power of women to provide funding for health care services for women in need.

Vision
All women have the opportunity to access health care information and services.

The Initiative
Health care is a major concern for women in east central Iowa. This becomes true for vulnerable populations, such as single women with children. United Way is working in partnership with the Community Health Free Clinic to provide prescription assistance and emergency dental care for women most in need.

 

Join Women’s Leadership!
In 2011, we had 315 members, who raised $191,826 to support this initiative. For a designated gift of $500 or more, current members and other interested individuals can be a part of this exceptional, talented group of women leaders. Your investment to the WLI will support women’s health project in our community.
