RED AHEAD Program Continues in Wake of Federal Shutdown

Red Ahead homepageThe RED Ahead program is a program that guides parents in helping their children ages 0-5 develop language skills and is offered at the Urban and North Towne WIC clinics in Cedar Rapids. WIC clinics are funded with federal dollars and it has been reported by media that clinics are affected by the current federal government furlough.

However, the RED Ahead program continues to operate at its current locations and we strongly encourage parents to attend their scheduled WIC visits. The program is a collaboration between United Way and HACAP and works to help us increase the number of children who are on track developmentally and academically in our community.
