Summer Meals AvailableSummer Food Rocks

United Way is partnering with a number of organizations and programs to help more children access nutritious meals during the summer.

The “Summer Food Service Program” is a federally funded entitlement program that works to ensure that children continue to receive nutritious meals during the summer months.

Nearly 12,000 Linn County children are eligible for free and reduced lunch. Approximately 725 Linn County children participated in summer meals daily this past summer. Our community is serving approximately 6 percent of youth who are eligible for this program. That is why eight partnering organizations are offering breakfast, lunch, and/or snacks at even more sites across Linn County this summer.

Please see the image or map below for reference to meal site locations, hours and more. Call United Way 2-1-1 if you have further questions about a meal site listed. Click here for a downloadable PDF.
